Boomwhackers - team xylophone with tuned tubes
A program element led by Ethnosound.
Sometimes the simplest things are the most entertaining. Few statements apply better to anything than to Boomwhackers. The creation of the first prototypes was a stroke of luck, they were simple cardboard tubes. These were then further developed by the company's founder, reaching their current quality and design by 1997.
During the program, colorful, tuned plastic tubes are distributed to all participants, dividing the audience into as many groups as there are notes we wish to use. Thus, the newfound musicians form a kind of live xylophone, and the program leader "plays" on them. First, we introduce them to the use of the tubes with very simple rhythm games, and by the end, we even reach the point of playing well-known melodies.
We recommend Boomwhackers, among other things, as an opening/closing/interruption (refreshment) element for events, as it is a very flexible program type.
